Keynote: The Sociological Review ‘Undisciplining: Conversations from the Edges’ Conference
Project PI Dr. Ayona Datta was the opening keynote speaker on Day 1 of the The Sociological Review’s ‘Undisciplining: Conversations from the Edges’ conference on 19th June 2018 in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear. Her talk was entitled ‘Undisciplining Urban Futures: Imagining and Governing India's Smart Urban Age’.
The Sociological Review aims to foster collaborations and dialogues across disciplines and beyond academia in order to shape the nature and scope of the sociological. ‘Undisciplining’ aimed to challenge the presumed mainstream of sociological thought, its geographical assumptions and disciplinary hierarchies.
