Mahima Taneja

Local Research Assistant (February-August 2019)

Mahima Taneja is an independent researcher. She has completed her M.A and M.Phil. from Centre for Political Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. Her research focuses on politics of gender and sexuality in urban spaces and urban policy. She has presented her M.Phil research at several funded national and international conferences. Her work has been accepted for publication at Women's Studies International Forum and in a edited volume on the Right to the City by Presses Universitaires de Nanterre in their space and justice collection

She has also consulted on a range of evaluation and research projects in the domains of water and sanitation, urban infrastructures, sustainable agriculture, and elementary education across geographies such as Bihar, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Rajasthan, UP and Delhi.

She is currently working as a Research Assistant as part of the Shimla case study.
